GED® TESTING INFORMATION
GED Testing Service® is
releasing a new version of the GED® Test on January 1, 2014.
Individuals who have tested on the current 2002 GED® Test
Series must complete the exam series by December 2013.
Scores from the 2002 Series Will Not be combined with scores
for the new assessment. Candidates who do not complete the
current series will have to meet the requirements of the new
test, starting January 1, 2014.
GED testing is available at the Lee County Public Education on Monday or Tuesday from 2:00 pm - 9:30 pm, Wednesday from 4:30 pm - 9:30 pm and Friday at the Dunbar Community School from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.
THE LAST DAY TO TAKE A GED TEST ON THE 2002 SERIES IN LEE COUNTY WILL BE DECEMBER 18, 2013.
Eligibility and registration:
Any person who is at least 18 years of age and who has left high school without graduating is eligible to take the GED® Test. Individuals who are 16 or 17, must be officially withdrawn from high school and are required to enroll in a Lee County Adult Education GED® Preparation program and pass the Official Practice Test. Students achieving passing scores on the Official Practice Test will receive an Age Waiver which allows them to register for the GED® test.
