On January 1, 2014 the GED Test was replaced with a new computer-based, four module
assessement aligned to Common Core Standards.

The four modules are. . . .

Mathematics (120 minutes)

Reasoning through Language Arts (155 minutes)

Science (95 minutes)

Social Studies (95 minutes)

There is no longer a limit to the number of times an individual may test in a year; however, after three attempts, there is a 60 day waiting period before retesting can occur.  Candidates are encouraged to participate in GED preparation classes.  Information on classes may be obtained at our website:  ace.leeschools.net.

The GED Test is offered 12 months a year at:

The Lee County Public Education Center
East Entrance on Monday or Tuesday from 4:30 - 9:30 pm
The Dunbar Community on Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Candidates may visit www.GED.com to register for the test.  The GED.com website contains a wealth of information, including both free practice exercises and the GED Ready Official Practice Test (cost is $6/module)
